Ice-T Arrested On His Way To The 'Law & Order: SVU' Set

Early this morning, October 24, Law & Order: SVU star Ice-T found himself on the wrong side of the law. The actor was arrested while heading into work. Read on to find out what huge mistake landed him in ‘cuffs.

According to reports, the 60-year-old was driving in his $270K McLaren sports car as he attempted to cross the George Washington Bridge from the New Jersey side.

An eyewitness explained, “He tried crossing in the E-Z Pass lane, for drivers who prepay tolls with a transmitter, but Ice's didn't work.”

However, the actor who plays Sergeant Finn Tutuola, “didn’t realize” and continued on his way.

His vehicle was stopped by the Port Authority police almost immediately. Unfortunately, the luxury car was unregistered and the cops “arrested him for evading the toll and gave him a ticket for the unregistered vehicle.”

According to reports, Ice-T insisted there was an explanation for the whole thing — he “simply forgot to bring his E-Z Pass with him.” He explained that his older cars were all equipped with the necessary toll passes.

Ever the hard worker, Ice also revealed that once he was allowed to go free, he headed straight to the SVU set and it was business as usual.
