Last night’s episode of Counting On, brought fans the emotional moment Jessa and her husband Ben Seewald welcomed their second son, Henry, into the world. While Jessa had quite the nerve-wracking birthing experience with her first child, Spurgeon -- it lasted for over two days and even resulted in Jessa having to receive a blood transfusion – baby Henry’s delivery was nearly perfect!
Jessa went into labor around 11 pm, a few days after her scheduled due date. As Duggar fans know, Jessa opted for a home birth despite her past delivery, complications, which resulted in her family having to call an ambulance to transport her and baby Spurgeon.
“We’ll begin labor at home and see what happens,” Jessa said. After nearly five hours of labor, Jessa’s mom Michelle Duggar, and her sisters, Jana and Jill arrived to help out. “When we came over, it sounded like she was going to give birth soon,” Jill said. “I was like, ‘I hope my mom and Jana make it!’”
While Jessa admitted that she had intense labor pain as she was really uncomfortable, couldn’t sleep, and was “having bad contractions,” her delivery was complication –free and she welcomed Henry in just five hours after going into labor. Jana even called it a “perfect birth.” “It couldn’t have gone any better,” she confessed.

“I was relieved, I couldn’t believe it,” Jessa gushed as she recalled how she felt after giving birth. Then as soon as she held baby Henry in her arms, she burst into tears and her hubby whispered in her ear, “You did it, babe!”
“Ben was crying too,” Jessa remembered. “You look at that little miracle in your arms and there’s nothing like it.” The new mommy gave birth around 4:30 am, on February 6.
