Jada Pinkett Smith will be honored with the prestigious Trailblazer Award at the 2019 MTV Movie & TV Awards. She is this year's recipient due largely in part to her lifelong film career that spans decades.
"Jada has been a powerhouse since the beginning of her career and has achieved multi-hyphenate status throughout," said Amy Doyle, General Manager, MTV, VH1, CMT and Logo.
"She is the epitome of someone who is not afraid to challenge the status quo and we are thrilled to present her with this year's Trailblazer Award," Amy continued in a statement.
The award is usually given to stars in Hollywood who inspire change. Previous honorees include Shailene Woodley, Channing Tatum, and Emma Stone.
The star-studded list of presenters include Dave Bautista, Jameela Jamil, Kiernan Shipka and Mj Rodriguez.

Shazam! star Zachary Levi is set to host the big night.
Singers Lizzo and Bazzi will both perform at the event.
Game of Thrones, Avengers: Endgame, and RBG scored the most nominations with four each.
The 2019 MTV Movie & TV Awards will air live from the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica on Monday, June 17 at 9 p.m. on MTV.
