On Monday's episode of The Bachelorette, hearts were broken and tears were shed. In a surprising elimination, fan favorite Jason Tartick said bye-bye to Becca Kufrin and the Fantasy Suite. Read on to hear more about how hard he took the break-up and how he's vying to be the next Bachelor!
The Seattle banker revealed that the split made him feel empty. “I was in complete shock,” he said. “They didn’t show it on the episode, but the next day I was a mess, because it all hit me ... The reality of the situation set in, and I was an absolute mess.”
The 29-year old reflected on his time on the show and is forever grateful for the opportunity. On the episode he says, "It means a lot that I could come on such an unconventional journey," he told Becca as he handed her a scrapbook of pics of their time together.
He talked to Becca afterwards to get some much needed closure but he said he accepted her decision to let him go. "Everything ended so abruptly. It just didn’t feel like the way it ended was the right way to close the door. We said a peaceful goodbye. And that will help us become friends down the road.”
