Jeannie Mai was noticeably missing from the 50th Annual NAACP Image Awards dinner and ceremony on Friday, March 29 and Saturday, March 30, respectively. The 40-year-old explained her absence amid The Real taking home a big prize at the major event. Read on for all the details.

Jeannie congratulated them and the team behind the scenes at The Real on her Instagram Saturday, March 30. She also explained her absence within the same post.
"I wasn't able to be there as I'm out of the country- but yall had it litttty ayyee!" she wrote. It was initially reported that a scheduling conflict prevented her from attending.
