Jenelle Evans is an open book! The Teen Mom 2 star is set to release her upcoming tell-all book, Read Between the Lines: From the Diary of a Teenage Mom, very soon and isn't keeping any secrets out of it!
“My first trip was amazing. I won’t glamorize the drug by going into the long details of why people love it so damned much,”she wrote in an excerpt obtained by E! News. “Before I knew it, I was shooting up four or five times a day. I was hooked.”
The reality star admitted in a heartbreaking portion that her family was the first thing she lost because of her drug use. “I disowned my mother and siblings and friends,” she wrote. “But the truth is no one wants to talk to you when they suspect you’re a junkie.”
As fans may remember, shortly after her first son, Jace, was born, she handed over custody to her mother, Barbara. “It hurt my heart, made me sick to my soul that I couldn’t see my son. I filled that hateful void with more drugs,” Jenelle wrote about her mother not allowing her to see her son because of her drug use. “The drugs always made the pain go away. They didn’t turn on me or betray me. I guess heroin was my first steady, dependable lover. It gave me what I needed to live and I gave it my life. By this entry, heroin was the only thing I had in my life that loved me.”

Jenelle landed in the hospital for a detox and after she was released, she called her mother, the “last person in the world” she thought would be willing to help her.
She penned, “For all of our problems, I owe her for what she did that day. I called her and told her what kind of trouble I was in, and how I needed help.”
