Jenelle Evans’ Family Pleads With Her To Evacuate Kids Before Hurricane Hits
Sept. 12 2018, Updated 8:47 p.m. ET
Jenelle Evans has no plans to evacuate her North Carolina home before Hurricane Florence hits, and now the Teen Mom 2 star’s family is pleading with her to get her kids to safety before it’s too late!
“They think everyone should evacuate just to be safe,” a source close to Jenelle’s baby daddy Nathan Griffith and his girlfriend Ashley Landhardt told RadarOnline.com exclusively. Nathan and Jenelle share four-year-old son Kaiser.
“They’d rather her be safe than sorry. They are calling for power outages for weeks at a time. It’s better to be somewhere with power,” the insider told the site.
Nathan lives in South Carolina near his mom Doris Davidson and his stepdad. While his parents don’t plan to evacuate, David is still debating the safest move. However, he doesn’t want to go far “just in case for some reason he needs to get Kaiser.”

Jenelle’s mom Barbara is set on evacuating. “She’s driving six hours north to escape the hurricane because she’s right in the path,” the source told Radar. Jenelle’s son Jace, who lives with Babs full time, will stay with Jenelle and her husband David Eason in Wilmington instead, but a source said Barbara believes Jace “will be fine.”
As OK! readers know, fans slammed Jenelle on Twitter for planning to stick around through the storm, especially since she’s been vocal on TM2 about structural issues with her house. “Why would you want to stay if there’s problems with the house?” one fan asked.
Jenelle defended her decision to stay, telling fans, “I do not live in the evacuation zone or a flood area.” ABC11 does not list Jenelle’s county on the mandatory evacuation list, Radar reported.
