Most girls growing up cherish their relationship with their father, but unfortunately that was not the case with Teen Mom star Jenelle Evans. In her new memoir, Read Between The Lines, which is released July 25 opens up about why she does not talk to her dad anymore.

In an excerpt released on E!, Jenelle writes, “Robert Evans was only in my life for a little while,. For that short and glorious time, I was daddy's little girl. I loved and admired him. I still do in some way. Without warning everything changed, and my dad cut himself out of my life.”

She continues, “Even now, as a grown woman, we don't talk.”

This is even more heartbreaking considering Jenelle also has a bad relationship with her mother, Barbara due to a custody arrangement over her son Jace.

Still, Jenelle has hope about her relationship with her dad. “Maybe one day that will change. Maybe one day we can find one another, get to know each other, and he can finally be my father. Until then, he is just my biological dad,” Jenelle said.
