If Jennifer Garner isn’t careful, she may soon be running into her ex Ben Affleck and his new girlfriend Lindsay Shookus all over town. The actress had a close call last night when she dined at Giorgio Baldi in L.A., which is where Ben brought Lindsay just days earlier! Ben and Lindsay took their romance public only a week ago, but things have been serious for a while now. The New York-based Lindsay is even staying at Ben’s house while she’s in L.A.!
An insider told People magazine that when Ben and Lindsay dined at Giorgio Baldi, “They arrived in a limo. They had a quick dinner and then returned to Ben’s house.”
Sources told People that Lindsay and Ben began having an affair in 2013, but others claimed that the pair were just friends who didn’t begin dating until their respective separations.
“It’s not an easy situation for Jen,” an insider told People. “It would have been easier for Jen if Ben would have just dated someone that Jen wasn’t familiar with.”

But another friend said that Jen is “completely fine,” adding, “Nothing is new for her here. She’s in mama-bear mode…putting the kids’ happiness first.”
Despite the potential for an awkward run-in, Jen looked happy and carefree during the night out. She was accompanied by friends, including funny girl Chelsea Handler.
