Ben Affleck may have been the main subject in Jennifer Garner’s Vanity Fair cover story after a cheating scandal led to their divorce, but he wasn’t afraid to go to the post-Oscars bash with his ex-wife!
While he was a no-show at the ceremony, Ben joined Jen at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts.
The day before the awards ceremony, Affleck and Garner reunited for their son Samuel’s birthday on Feb. 27.
Garner’s cover story revealing the details of her split with Affleck hit newsstands just days prior and confirmed he did cheat with the nanny Christine Ouzounian.
“Let me just tell you something. We had been separated for months before I ever heard about the nanny,” she told Vanity Fair. “She had nothing to do with our decision to divorce. She was not a part of the equation. Bad judgment? Yes. It’s not great for your kids for a nanny to disappear from their lives. I have had to have conversations about the meaning of ‘scandal.'"
Jen said they’re instead focused on their three children and in the most heartbreaking sentence ever, she said she “lost the dream of dancing with my husband at my daughter’s wedding.” Looks like she still had the dream of going to the Oscars with her ex!
