Jennifer Lopez’ show Shades of Blue is coming to an end! After three seasons, NBC has pulled the plug on the cop drama, but don’t worry, J.Lo has plenty on her plate to her busy — including her boyfriend Alex Rodriguez!
"I have enjoyed producing and starring in this beautifully complicated world and playing such an empowering yet flawed character — a woman, a detective, but, first and foremost, a mother," Jennifer said of her time playing cop Harlee Santos.
Jen even said she feels playing the role “strengthened me and helped me grow into a more self-assured woman.” “It's crazy how some parts permeate your soul and change you forever and for that I am grateful,” she continued.
“We crafted a poetic three-season arc on how her journey ends, which is true redemption. The way only Harlee could have done it — the hard way, the road less traveled. I thank NBC and all the talented actors, writers, crew and producers for going on this journey with us!" she finished.

Lisa Katz, co-president of scripted programming at NBC Entertainment, said, “We are very proud that this remarkable series attracted iconic stars like the incomparable Jennifer Lopez and Ray Liotta to broadcast television. We are so grateful for all the hard work and dedication of Jack Orman and his incredible producers as well as the entire cast and crew.”
Even though the show is ending, Jen has enough projects to keep her busy. The actress, singer, and dancer is filming two movies this year, acting as a judge on World of Dance, and still performing at her Las Vegas residency, which is slated to end in September.
Plus, things are continuing to go strong for Jen and her boyfriend Alex, who have been together a year. Insiders recently told OK! that the pair even secretly got engaged over St. Patrick’s Day weekend!
