Jesse Metfcalfe and Cara Santana are calling it quits. After 13 years of dating, the John Tucker Must Die actor and Salem star revealed that they are no longer together on January 22. Cara, 35, was reportedly blindsided earlier the same day, when Jesse, 41, was spotted getting cozy with a mystery woman.
According to Us Weekly’s Hot Hollywood podcast, the former couple were “not even living together.” “They’ve split and are not together,” a source confessed. “He did not cheat on her.” However, another insider told Us Weekly that the Desperate Housewives actor “moved out” after the former couple attended The Art of Elysium’s 13th annual celebration together on January 4.
Most recently, Jesse has been spotted cuddling up with other women. He was seen grabbing lunch and holding hands with Livia Pillmann at Gracias Madre in West Hollywood.
Jesse also cozied up with a blonde woman later that evening at Attic bar in Sherman Oaks, California. According to reports, the actor was whispering into the mystery woman’s ear, holding her waist, and hugging her tightly.

Before the photos were taken, Cara told Us Weekly about the "modern "romance she had with Jesse. “We’re, like, two people kind of doing it, like, on our own terms,” she said at The Art of Elysium event on January 4. “In a modern couple, it’s nice to be able to be like, ‘He’s 41, I’m 34, and we’re taking our time.’ And it’s just easy.”
The former couple began dating in 2009, and took a break briefly in 2011. Jesse proposed to the Santa Clarita Diet actress in August 2016 as they sailed along the Hudson River in New York. “It’s been a long time coming, but we couldn’t be happier,” he gushed at the time.
In an interview with Hollywood Life, Cara confessed that she and Jesse were in no rush to get married. “The truth is we really have not set a date, but we are talking about it now that it looks like he’ll be wrapping up the final season of his series and we can make some time in our schedules to plan a wedding.”
Even though the couple has been engaged for a few years, Jesse told Access Hollywood that there were no wedding plans at the moment. “Wedding planning is nonexistent. I’ve been so busy … I’ve literally been out of town the whole year,” the actor explained. “Cara has been incredibly busy as well … We’re kind of just doing things on our own schedule.”
