We were first introduced to Jessica Simpson as an adorable pop star with tons of charm and a voice to match! But even though the businesswoman is now eager to make her return to music after a lengthy hiatus, a source has revealed to In Touch that her family and friends aren't completely on board with her comeback plans!
"Jess is dead set on a musical comeback, but everyone is terrified the stress of a new album will put her over the edge," the insider said.
The source added that Jess is continuing to deal with the fallout of her bizarre HSN appearance earlier this year, an experience that has her team worried she may not be ready to take on such a huge project as a new album.
“Another mistake in public could be disastrous," the source said.

However, Simpson isn’t listening to her loved ones’ worries, the source said. And the insider said she is already doing some groundwork to get her project going.
“She’s sent multiple emails to her old record label and has even been approached to do a Vegas residency," the insider said.
But the source said that her family members and friends really want her to instead put her energy into getting help for her reported struggles.
