Jessica Simpson is settling into her new role as a mom of three! On Sunday, April 21, the singer celebrated Easter with her family and she finally showed baby Birdie Mae off to her 4.6 million followers.
In the first picture posted to her account, Jessica, 38, and 4-weeks old Birdie were joined by Jessica's husband Eric Johnson, her other children Ace and Maxwell. “Happy Easter from the Johnson Family, Party of 5!” the proud mama wrote in the caption.
Birdie took center stage in the next two snaps. In the first photo she was alone and napping on her stomach and in the second, she was joined by her big sister Maxwell, 7.
Fans quickly flooded Jessica’s comments section with compliments for the new baby. “Oh my goodness....look at those cheeks,” one person wrote. “What a gorgeous healthy baby girl.”
However, other followers were more concerned about Birdie’s positioning. “Not to be a jerk but that baby should be back sleeping,” one person warned.
"Beautiful girls beautiful dresses but please BABY BACK ONLY,” another user typed. “SAVE YOURSELF THE HEARTBREAK OF SIDS ?”
Someone else came to Jessica’s defense and clapped back at the mommy shamers. “I am certain she receives the same advice from her pediatrician as the rest of us and knows,” the user wrote. “Was this staged for a photo? You don’t know. So let her be.”
