Jimmy Kimmel Convinces Parents To Prank Their Children After Trick-Or-Treating
Nov. 2 2018, Updated 5:45 p.m. ET
For eight years running Jimmy Kimmel has challenged parents to trick their kids into thinking they ate all their Halloween candy. After the children worked hard trick-or-treating for all that candy, most were devastated by the news that their own parents stole it all. In the past, some kids have even asked to be emancipated! Scroll below to watch this year’s “I Told My Kids I Ate All Their Halloween Candy” prank.
Jimmy showed the video on last night’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live! and introduced it by saying, “Now it’s time to find out just how easy it is to take candy from babies.”
One little girl looked her parents sternly in the eyes and said, “I’m so disappointed at you.” Later in the video, another little boy said, “I love you too, but I’m very disappointed,” to his mom who told him she loved him.
Another child sweetly told his mother, “I’m not mad at all. I would never be mad at you because you’re my mom.” His mom responded with, “You’re too sweet. It’s gross.”

Not every child forgave their parents, of course. One little girl screamed, “I hate you mommy,” as she slammed the door and banned her mother from entering. Another little boy cried briefly until he eventually just punched his dad in the face.
The parents later confessed that it was a prank and told their kids it was Jimmy’s idea. In response, one kid said, “He’s an idiot. He’s a freaking idiot!” One little boy said he knew it was about Jimmy and asked the comedian directly, “Do you know how many years you’re going to get away with this?”
