Jeremy posted this photo of the couple’s new addition: an adorable cat named Jacob! “Welp, we’re now a family of four. Welcome to the family, Jacob,” Jeremy captioned the photo.

When a fan asked how Jacob came to be a member of the Duggar-Vuolo clan, Jeremy responded, “We went for an evening stroll a few weeks back and about a half mile from our home he ran up to us, clearly a stray, starving, no collar, and he followed us all the way home.”

“He hasn’t left!” Jeremy added. “So we’ve gotten his vacs, etc. Essentially, he adopted us!”

A vet was even able to determine Jacob’s age: just 7 months, making him only a few months older than Felicity, who was born on July 19.

Fans were quick to warn the new parents to be cautious with a cat around a newborn. “Need to watch him by Felicity,” one fan wrote, while another commented, “Oh boy, be careful….cats like to sleep on warm baby faces and suffocate them.” However, several fans slammed this as an old wives tale.
