Jennifer Lopez was on hand for the Time 100 Gala in New York City last night, as she wound up pulling double duty as both a guest and performer. Although she won some style points for her gorgeous ensemble, she didn’t win any in the performance category as social media went in about her over the top display on stage.
J. Lo attended the Time 100 Gala with her handsome boyfriend Alex Rodriguez by her side.
At some point during the event, she took to the stage and performed in front of the entire crowd in a barely there ensemble that resembled Britney Spears’ diamond outfit in the “Toxic” video.
A clip posted online shows J. Lo moving every single part of her body erratically including her infamous booty, as her backup dancers fanned her in the background.

Social media users weren’t impressed, saying things like “Looks crazy,” “It’s a whole lot of mess,” “What is going on here?” and “I watched this without sound. Very awkward.” The shade!
She did have one supporter at least, as Saturday Night Live star Leslie Jones was getting her life in the audience during the performance. You can audibly hear her scream “J. LO! J. LO! YAS!”, so maybe she shouldn’t hang up the performance part of her career anytime soon?
