Less than a week ago, Jodie Sweetin announced she and her fiancé Justin Hodak had ended their yearlong engagement. Now, court documents have been discovered which explain the sudden split. According to the docs, obtained by People magazine, Jodie was granted a temporary restraining order against Justin the day before the split went public, which the Fuller House actress requested after a violent, frightening encounter with Justin at their shared home. And according to the mag, Justin has been arrested for already violating the order!
On March 18th, the documents claim that Justin “engaged in a violent argument with Jodie” and said “he was going to take a nine millimeter pistol with him, and use it to kill himself.” According to the documents, Justin, who “has a history of drug abuse, but had been sober before the incident,” had been “abusing alcohol and marijuana” the night of the altercation.
“He screamed at Sweetin using harshly abusive language,” the documents state. “Sweetin then asked him to leave the house. He threatened to commit suicide if she made him leave. He escalated the conflict by pulling down a seven-foot bookcase, which blocked the doorway to the room that Sweetin was in, effectively trapping her there.”
Justin then left the home with the nine-millimeter pistol “and threatened to use it.” In the days following his departure, Justin “made at least 87 phone calls to Sweetin’s cell phone. He threatened to sell potentially embarrassing pictures of Sweetin that he has on his phone.”

According to the documents, this isn’t the first time Justin has behaved dangerously: “On previous occasions, Hodak had engaged in violent arguments with Sweetin, in which he threw objects at her.”
The documents also claim that Justin has waited at her children’s school and “has a history of harassing the family members of his former girlfriends.” Jodie’s restraining order also requires Justin to stay away from the actress’ children, parents, and assistant.
On Monday, March 27th, Justin was seen driving in front of Jodie’s home, violating the order against him. He was soon arrested by police. According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s website, it is Justin’s third arrest in just over a week.
