John Mayer's most recent release "New Light" came out in May. Since then, the singer has been delivering performances of the funk-filled song. Most recently, he visited Jimmy Kimmel Live! as the musical guest where he also had the audience puzzled about a new show he plans to release on Instagram this Friday. Read below to see the trailer!
John played the guitar while he sang in a floral blue vacation-styled shirt and ripped jeans.
The 40-year-old gave it his all throughout the performance as his facial expressions went wild.
Afterward, John told Jimmy that he was going to have a show on Instagram and that he's already shot 6,000 episodes by himself. "Let’s see Game of Thrones shoot 6,000 episodes,” he said as Jimmy played the trailer.

When the singer was further questioned about the show, it sounded like a bunch of pre-recorded mock reality TV clips that he'd start sharing via Instagram Stories rather than an actual program.
“I wanted it to be gritty and handheld. It’s a single camera series," he joked with the audience. So basically, just how everyone else uses the apps feature.
