Johnny Galecki and girlfriend Alaina Meyer are expecting, and he’s already looking ahead to the future! In a new interview, the Big Bang Theory star spoke candidly about the pregnancy and his hopes for a baby girl.
During the 43-year-old’s appearance on The Talk, the co-hosts asked him about the significance of his pink nail polish.
"I get a little bored looking exactly the same way for 9 and a half months every year playing Leonard,” he explained, referring to his Big Bang Theory character. “So we wrapped filming and I threw some blue in my hair, then I got superstitious that I was manifesting a boy, when I kind of prefer a girl.”
Then Johnny quipped, “Don’t play this tape for my child years from now!”
“So, I painted my nails pink to try to even out the energy there,” he finished.
However, regardless of the baby’s gender, the Roseanne alum stressed that his child’s health is most important to him.
Johnny announced the pregnancy news with an emotional Instagram post. “We are absolutely over the moon to announce that we will soon be welcoming a little one into this crazy and wonderful world,” he wrote before adding, “There truly is love out there for all. We hope ours is the ember of yours, as we feel yours is the ember of ours.”
