Julia Stiles Says She Has A Hard Time Watching '10 Things I Hate About You'
Julia Stiles starred in one of 1999's biggest teen comedies but she admitted she finds it very challenging to watch 10 Things I Hate About You two decades later.
“If you had your prom video or a home video from high school, I don’t know that I’d watch it,” the 38-year-old confessed to People.
She continued, “I usually just look away. I’m glad that people enjoyed it and I’m glad that they’re still talking about it."
"I don’t take that for granted, but I look away pretty quickly. The success of it was an affirmation of some of my instincts,” the actress added.
The flick was inspired by William Shakespeare's play, The Taming of the Shrew. The movie was later adapted by ABC Family into a half-hour sitcom. The series starred Lindsey Shaw and Ethan Peck.

Julia played the title role of "The Shrew," a.k.a Katarina Stratford while the late Heath Ledger portrayed her love interest Patrick Verona.
10 Things I Hate About You launched the careers of Julia, Heath as well as Hollywood A-listers like Gabrielle Union, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Andrew Keegan.
The Hustlers star also revealed to the publication, “I was just so eager to get that part because it was unique at the time. I hadn’t read a character that was so feisty, outspoken and opinionated so when other people responded to that it was an affirmation that I was on the right track.”
