About two weeks after Julianne Hough did a naked cover shoot with Women's Health and revealed that she isn't straight, the star opened up about how everyone in her life is handling the news.
In Women's Health's “Naked Strength” September issue, Julianne, 31, talked about her "massive transformation," four months after marrying her husband Brooks Laich in July 2017.
“I told him, ‘You know I’m not straight, right?’ And he was like, ‘I’m sorry what?'” she recalled to the publication. “I was like, ‘I’m not. But I choose to be with you.'"
Since opening up about her sexuality, Julianne talked with ET about what life has been like after a live episode of America's Got Talent on Tuesday, August 13.
"I went to my family reunion right after this all came out and I was like, 'Alright, let's see what the family has to say,'" she said. "And honestly, it just goes to show that with all of our different backgrounds, our different beliefs, religiously or politically, whatever it may be, the common denominator is love and support and understand and listening."

"My husband is the most supportive person ever. We talk about it all the time, if that was not the case we would have a very different relationship. But the reason why our relationship works is because we're completely raw and open and exposed," she said of Brooks, 36.
"At the end of the day, people are going to take whatever headlines they are going to take, and they did, and that is totally fine," the professional dancer said. "But at the end of the day, if I feel like I have something to hide, in any sense, then that's not me being totally me."
Julianne then said she is an "open book" after being asked if she was okay with people looking at her with such a close microscope. "I will tell you what I want to tell you. But life is just life, relationships are relationships and people can deem them whatever they want them to be, but as long as you know what it is, nothing else matters," she said.
