The 21-year-old shared a first look at his new dreadlocks hair style on social media then rocked his locks at the iHeart Music Awards on April 4.

“This is horrible. It looks like his hair has been fried overnight,” one commenter wrote, while others have taken to crying emojis.

OKMagazine.com reported that Bieber’s hair started to fall out because it’s “been processed, primped and blow dried into an early grave” and “feels like straw.”

But dreadlocks may be the solution because, the source told OK!, that Bieber often “doesn’t wash or brush it for a few days” and because of his much too minimal maintenance, “clumps of it come out.”
