Justin posted a screenshot of a note he wrote, which read, “Hey world that glamorous lifestyle you see portrayed by famous people on Instagram don’t be fooled thinking their life is better than yours I can promise you it’s not!”
The post came just hours after hundreds of celebrities attended the Met Gala in New York City on Monday night, including Justin’s ex Selena, and their lavish costumes were splashed across Instagram.
Fans were quick to wonder if Justin’s post was about his famous ex, who’s been open about her own addiction to Instagram. “I smell Selena Gomez,” one fan commented. “Bitter about Selena. That’s all,” said another.

Selena and Justin reconciled late last year, but the two split again in March. Selena was reportedly overwhelmed by the amount of attention their relationship received, especially so soon after she finished a stint in a treatment center for her struggle with anxiety.
Selena has even blamed Instagram for some of her anxiety struggles, and said she relinquished control of her account to her assistant after leaving rehab. However, the singer still posts pics regularly.
