K-Pop Star Samuel's Father Killed In His Cabo San Lucas Home

Jose Arredondo, father of K-pop star Samuel, was found dead in his Cabo San Lucas home.  According to reports, the Mexico-born car salesman’s body “showed signs of blunt force trauma.”

Jose immigrated to California in the 1970s but owned a home in the popular Mexican resort town.

According to the Tribunal de Los Cabos, Jose was found “laying on the floor with several wounds caused by a knife in the back.”

Not much else is known about the circumstances surrounding his death, but initial investigations have treated it as a home invasion.

“We are closely monitoring local authorities’ investigation into the cause of death,” a United States State Department official told the Associated Press.

Though born in Los Angeles, Samuel, 17, is half-Korean and resides in Seoul.
