Kacey Musgraves was NOT having it. During a recent concert in Sydney, Australia, the country singer eschewed tradition and flat out refused to take a shot from a fan’s shoe while she was on stage.
In a fan-captured video, Kacey, 30, told the audience, “Don’t do it to me. I heard about this. What’s it called?”
The crowd immediately began chanting “Shoey!”
“Newsflash, that wouldn’t work for me,” Kacey told the audience before flashing her open-toed shoes.
However, the crowd was completely undeterred. One fan even took off his own shoe and offered it to her.

Another concertgoer was more introspective. “I can't believe we, as an audience, almost bullied @KaceyMusgraves into doing a shoey on stage tonight.” the person tweeted.
