On the most recent episode of The Bachelorette, Kaitlyn Bristowe praised Ben Higgins for his drama-free personality and qualities that would make him the perfect husband. That’s why viewers were shocked when she sent the rumored next Bachelor star home in favor of Nick Viall and Shawn Booth. But reports now claim that she was pressured into sending Ben home to keep the Shawn-Nick feud going!
“She wasn’t feeling a long-term connection with the runner-up and felt like she was leading him on,” the source told Life & Style. “But producers loved the idea of the Shawn-Nick rivalry and wanted to play it out to the end.”

If Kaitlyn decided to not pick Ben in the end, she would have broken up with him before he proposed to save him from being heartbroken and embarrassed. “She still feels terrible about it,” the source said.
The insider added, “If she had to do it all over again, she would have insisted on sending the runner-up home earlier.”
