Kaitlyn Bristowe Speaks On Her Concerns About New 'Bachelor' Colton Underwood
Sept. 18 2018, Published 6:43 p.m. ET
Kaitlyn Bristowe is one of the few people who know what it's like to go through a reality dating show. Does she think the new Bachelor Colton Underwood has what it takes to make it to the end and achieve success in finding the right mate?
Colton was revealed to be the latest suitor on the long-running long running ABC program earlier this month.
Kaitlyn, who was The Bachelorette for the show's 11th season, spoke about how she thought another guy was going to be the new Bachelor during an interview with US Weekly on Monday.
“I was really rooting for Jason Tartick to be the Bachelor, but I think he campaigned too hard,” she revealed. “So I think they were like, ‘Uh, maybe Colton doesn’t want it as bad. Let’s give it to him.’”

She doesn't know Colton personally but thinks he doesn't really know what he wants personally. “I think he’s the kind of guy that keeps thinking he’s supposed to be this certain guy and he’s supposed to go for this kind of girl and he’s supposed to do this because he was an athlete,” she explained. “And I think he should just learn how to follow his heart a little better because I think it hasn’t led him in the right direction before. He should just trust his gut and trust his heart.”
Kaitlyn also has no idea who would be his true match. "I can’t read Colton, so I’m like, I don’t know what kind of girl would be good for him because I don’t know what he wants and I don’t think he knows what he wants." Season 23 of The Bachelor premieres in January.
