Kate Hudson is celebrating the one-year anniversary of her first date with boyfriend Danny Fujikawa! The actress took to Instagram to share a sweet pic of her and Danny kissing on a bridge, along with a gushing caption that detailed how the couple first met — 15 years ago! In the time since, Kate has been married, divorced, engaged, and had two children, but she still found her way back to Danny. Click through to see Kate’s sweet post!
Kate posted a cute PDA photo with her man, keeping her look casual yet chic in a pair of Vans Sk8-Hi Perforated Leather kicks. “The first time I met Danny I was 23 and enormously pregnant with son Ryder,” Kate began. “His step sisters are my best friends @sarafoster @erinfoster and so it goes we have been in the same circle for over a decade!”
“A year ago today Danny took me on a hike and what I thought was just a hike with a family friend turned very quickly into an unexpected first date,” Kate revealed. “No moves were made on this first date. In fact, it took months for him to make a first move!”
Although Kate admitted a kiss on the bridge “would have been nice,” “the kiss a year later was so much sweeter.”

“So on our 15th year of knowing each other we were able to open our hearts to each other to feel so much pure love and it’s been truly incredible,” Kate finished. “Happy first date anniversary baby. #LoveThisMan #WhatAYear.”
While Kate and Danny may have begun their romance in December 2016, the pair didn’t make their relationship red carpet official until May 10, 2017, at the Snatched premiere in L.A. When Us Weekly asked what Kate loved most about Danny, she replied, “How long do you have? He’s a good man.”
