Kate Hudson Looks Radiant In Her First Public Appearance Since Giving Birth 5 Weeks Ago

It’s been just over a month since Kate Hudson gave birth to her precious baby girl Rani with boyfriend Danny Fujikawa, and already she’s gone back to work in a major way—and she couldn’t have looked more radiant. Read on for the latest.
Kate has spent the last five weeks showering her littlest one Rani (who joined older brothers Ryder, 14, and Bingham, 7) with lots of love. Just take a look at this pic she posted on Instagram of the sweet baby girl one month after she was born.
But as much as the actress has been basking in the glory that is her very first daughter, she stole a minute away to celebrate another major moment in her life—becoming a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations Food Programme.
The 39-year-old made her first public appearance since giving birth at a U.N. panel event held in her honor in Los Angeles on Wednesday. She absolutely stunned in a pretty blue floral long-sleeved dress that she paired with beige pumps. Fashion icon Michael Kors joined her on stage in a talk moderated by Natalie Morales.

Kate made a whole night of it as she did a quick—and amazing—wardrobe change into a flowy black dress and matching pumps for the dinner portion of the event later on.
And it was a family affair as Danny, Ryder, and stepdad Kurt Russell were by her side to support her. That was especially fitting since Kate’s new role means a lot to her as a mother. “As a mother, I understand the vital importance proper food and nutrition play in the life of a child. Having seen the work of the @worldfoodprogramme first hand, I am honored to join them as a Goodwill Ambassador as we work together toward a future with #ZeroHunger,” she wrote on Instagram.
Don’t think her two new demanding roles will keep Kate out of the gym, though. The master multi-tasker went back to her fitness routine just weeks after giving her—which is why she looks so great right now. Take a look at this workout selfie she posted just last month. Werk, Kate!
