What a welcome! One Direction greeted Prince William and Kate Middleton when the royals arrived to the Royal Variety Performance in London on Nov. 13.
The Duchess of Cambridge was all smiles when she shook hands with boy band royalty – Harry Styles! “I said congratulations on the bump,” the singer told The Mirror. “She didn’t look bumpy.”
Is Prince William a One Direction fan? He is now! Us Weekly reports that when the dapper father of one-year-old Prince George greeted the band mates, he told them he would be “keeping a close eye” on their career.
Her Royal Highness couldn’t stop laughing once the X Factor judge Simon Cowell joined the duo.

Although the boys – Harry, Louis Tomlinson, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan, Liam Payne – are used to meeting the rich and famous, they were starstruck when it came to the royals! “It’s the most nervous I think I’ve ever been in my life,” Liam confessed. Louis added, “I didn’t say ‘ma’am,’” he admitted. “I said, ‘Hi, How are you? I’m Louis.’”
The pregnant royal glowed in a stunning Diane von Furstenberg gown. The long-sleeved, black lace dress showed off her tiny baby bump.
