It was take your daughter to work day for Katie Holmes! The actress brought Suri Cruise along with her as she filmed the pilot for her new untitled Fox TV project, which is about being a disgraced FBI special agent who tries to thwart a domestic terrorist attack.
Katie, 39, joined the pixie club in October, and it may have been for this latest role. She kept her look casual in denim jeans and a blue blouse as the show filmed in Chicago.
Suri was adorable in a polka dot dress, a huge pink bow, a purple jacket, and leggings. She also had a couple of books with her to stay busy!
Meanwhile, according to RadarOnline, Katie and her longtime boyfriend, Jamie Foxx, have “split” and she’s “reignited her friendship” with James Van Der Beek to get back at him. She and James worked together on the hit show Dawson’s Creek.

Radar adds that though James is married, he is “thrilled” about the courtship.
Jamie of course has stayed private about the status of his relationship with Katie, which he has done since they were first linked together several years ago.
