Katy Perry  had her guard up as she exited the American Idol studios in New York City, Tuesday October 30. That's because she was carrying some precious cargo: her pet dog. She held onto the teacup poodle with both hands as she made her way out in Manhattan. Keep reading for more details.

Katy held her stride as she guarded her beloved pooch. She cradled the dog with both arms, tight up against her chest. It looks like her dog Nugget, but it could very well have been beau Orlando Bloom's Mighty. The two pups are almost identical.
