Even after dating off and on for nearly two years, Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom have managed to keep their relationship mostly private. However, during a recent interview with ET, the singer gave a rare bit of insight into what makes their dynamic work.
The 34-year-old explained she and her beau are total opposites. However, instead of letting that keep them apart, Orlando uses it to bring them even closer together.
“Ugh! He's always trying to get to go hike, or do yoga or eat vegan," Katy joked after the live American Idol auditions in Hollywood on Thursday night.
Fellow AI judge Luke Bryan joined in on the ribbing. "Katy's like, 'I'll hike to Taco Bell with ya.”

"I sure will! Crunchwrap supreme, extra meat, extra onions,” she shot back.
She then explained that key to making her relationship with the Pirates of the Caribbean star work is finding "a balance.” She said, "I think when you're attracted to someone, it's sort of like how opposites attract. I'm looking for that balance and maybe he's looking for someone who is a multi-tasker."
As OK! readers know, Orlando and Katy rekindled their romance earlier this year after splitting back in 2017.
