Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus surprised CMA Fest concertgoers on June 8 when they brought out Keith Urban to perform their hit single! The trio’s performance of “Old Town Road” even impressed Keith’s wife, Nicole Kidman.

Keith, 51, took the stage on day three of the festival with Lil Nas X, 20, and Billy Ray, 57 and played the banjo while singing the hit song.
Prior to the big performance Lil Nas X shared a photo on Instagram posing with Keith and wrote, “I keep running into legends.” He later posted a clip from the night and said, “Thank you Billy & Keith!!!”
The country superstars were equally jazzed about their surprise collaboration. Billy posted a photo from the evening and called it “pure magic!”

He continued to boast, “Keith Urban there is a reason that you are entertainer of the year. Loved having you on #OTR with us!” Keith currently holds the title “Entertainer Of The Year” given by the County Music Association Awards. He also earned the award in 2005.
Keith also bragged about the night on his Instagram. He shared a photo walking off stage with Lil Nas X captioned, “Nas’ t-shirt says LOVE EVERYBODY ...... I can’t think of a better caption than that right there!!! Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus thank you for the invite. I loved playing with you both and hope we get to do it again!!!!”
Nicole, who was in New York City at the time, reposted the photo and said, “Last night in Nashville ...This makes me happy ??.”
