Kenya Moore Leaves 'Real Housewives Of Atlanta' After 'Messy' Contract Negotiations

Multiple sources have confirmed to PEOPLE that Kenya Moore will not be returning to The Real Housewives of Atlanta for its 11th season due to "messy" contract negotiations.
Rumors have swirled for many weeks regarding Kenya not returning to RHOA, especially after the rest of the cast was spotted filming in Miami without her back in June.
Now, sources close to PEOPLE have revealed that Kenya wasn't fired from the hit reality show, but won't be returning for its upcoming 11th season.
This is due to a messy, lengthy contract negotiation that left her and Bravo on opposite sides of uncrossable battle lines. According to sources, both production and Kenya wanted her to return however she was requesting more money than they were offering and they wanted to film all parts of her life: which included her marriage to husband Marc Daly that was previously off-limits. His lack of presence was something she was criticized for in season 10.

Kenya and Marc are currently expecting their first baby together, but she kept her entire fertility treatment away from the show last year. She also didn't participate in the cast trip to Barcelona during season 10. “Everyone wanted to have Kenya back, but they wanted to have the old Kenya back — the one who isn’t afraid of the cameras,” a source told PEOPLE. "You can’t have secrets and be on reality TV. Especially when other Housewives are showing all of their lives — the good, bad, and the ugly. They need to see your life.”
Kenya still remains tight with several of her RHOA castmates, notably Kandi Burruss and Cynthia Bailey, both of which she has posted photos with on her social media recently. Sadly, that wasn't enough to get her to go for another round. "They were at a stand still for so long,” the source says. “Everyone was rooting for her and wanted to see her back, even women like Nene and Porsha who haven’t always been on "Team Kenya." The cast, producers, Bravo — they all know she’s good for the show. But it got messy. She just refused to compromise.”
