Kenya Moore has given birth and settled into motherhood after her recent health scare but, according to documents, there’s still one hurdle the Real Housewives of Atlanta star has yet to overcome. The IRS has accused her of owing $153,000 in taxes. Read on for the latest.
According to court documents obtained by The Blast, a tax lien was put on Moore Manor, her Atlanta home, in an attempt to gain back some of money she reportedly owes.
The papers were filed last month and show an alleged $152,678.36 in unpaid taxes for the year 2016.
Due to the terms of the lein, if Kenya were to sell the home, she would have to pay the government before she could receive any money from the sale.

This reported tax trouble cannot be easy on the new mom who has admitted that she’s having a difficult time recovering since giving birth last weekend. As OK! readers know, Kenya was forced to induce her labor after being diagnosed with preeclampsia.
In a recent update on Instagram, the 47-year-old got candid about her road to recovery. She wrote, “The reality is it will take weeks for me to be able to walk without the excruciating pain of a C-section and to heal from the multiple cuts to my uterus.”
