Kerry stripped off her makeup, pulled back her hair, and wore modest clothes for her role in American Son.

That didn’t stop the star from going full glam at the after-party for the show's Broadway debut. Kerry wore a scandalous black dress with see-through lace and a slit that came all the way up to her upper thigh.

The actress dazzled the red carpet but took the time to snap a quick picture at the event with the director, Kenny Leon, as well as friends Norm Lewis and LaChane.

Shonda Rhimes, Jada Pinkett Smith, and Gabrielle Union-Wade signed on to be producers for the Broadway play in September. Jada shared the love in an Instagram post captioned, “Kerry! Congrats on @AmericanSonPlay! This is a very exciting time for you and it makes me proud to be a part of it ✨ Show @kerrywashington and this powerful project some love if you get to NYC ❤️"

Gabrielle showed up in support as well. The producer sported a sparkly black sweater and a blue skirt with tigers running across it. “You do not want to miss this culture shifting play,” she said on Instagram.
