May 30 2018, Updated 5:20 p.m. ET
Kim Kardashian is making plans to head to the White House on Wednesday where she'll meet with President Donald Trump and his advisor and son-in-law Jared Kushner to discuss prison reform, according to Page Six. Kim's already been working with Jared to get a 62-year-old grandmother released from prison. Read on for more details.

In the meeting, which has been in the works for months, Vanity Fair reported, Kim is reportedly going to ask Trump to pardon the older woman, Alice Johnson, who is serving life in prison for a non-violent drug offense.

Alice has already been in prison for 21 years. When the KKW Beauty founder came upon the story on Twitter she reached out to first daughter Ivanka Trump to see what could be done. She later began working with Jared.
"This is so unfair," Kim initially wrote when retweeting Alice's story.

"I’ve been in communication with the White House and trying to bring Alice's case to the president’s desk and figure out how we can get her out,” Kardashian told Mic earlier this month.

"That’s such a huge step from where we started with that not even being on their radar," the reality TV star added. Kim's also brought other important issues to the administration's attention, like gun reform and encouraging the president to do something about the devastation in Puerto Rico following Hurricane Maria.
