January 22, 2015 is a monumental day in pop culture history, because it's the day that private actress Kristen Stewart finally opened up a public Instagram account! Or is it?! Is this new page the real deal?
She dated Robert Pattinson for years and not once acknowledged that they were dating, so many fans and press alike are finding it hard to believe that Kristen's new Instagram account, which goes under the handle @K.J.Stewart, is the real thing. She’s just not one of those stars who likes to let people into her personal life, you know?
“Miss my hair,” read one caption of this photo of Kristen with a pretty braid. Anyone who knows the real KStew knows that that’s really not something she would ever say!

Kristen’s die-hard fans are even getting angered that people are thinking this account is legitimate, leaving comments under the photos that say things like “fake account!” Fans are also pointing out that other celebrities’ Instagram pages have checkmarks when verified, but Kristen’s does not.
Kristen has admitted in the past that while she doesn’t quite understand the purpose or appeal of Twitter, she does have a private Instagram page that lets her keep in touch with friends and family when she’s away for work. So while it’s unlikely that this Kristen page is authentic, it’s not completely impossible!
And if this page is in fact official, we just have one request—more pics of Kristen with her rumored girlfriend, Alicia Cargile, please!
