Kristoff St. John’s final episode of The Young and the Restless aired Wednesday, February 6, three days after his tragic passing. Read on to see how the daytime series handled his death.

Kristoff’s character, Neil Winters, supported his son Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) at a music event during the episode.
Devon leaned on his father after opening up about suffering from anxiety following the death of his wife, Hilary Curtis (Mishael Morgan).
The episode concluded with a title card that read, “In loving memory of our dear friend Kristoff St. John.”

Y&R will air a special tribute episode to Kristoff this Friday, February 8. They announced the news on the show’s official Twitter account.
Kristoff died on Sunday, February 3. One of his friends reportedly went to check on him at his home in San Fernando Valley, where they found his body.
Police and paramedics were alerted and responded. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The LAPD confirmed his death on Monday, February 4. His cause of death has not yet been determine.
