Lori Loughlin has one person on her side amid her alleged involvement in a major college bribery scandal. Family friend Kyle Richards defended the Fuller House star on Watch What Happens Live on Tuesday, March 12, only hours after the news broke. Read on for all the details.

Lori, 50, was among fifty people (including fellow actress Felicity Huffman) indicted in a large-scale nationwide college entrance exam cheating scandal.

The indictment alleged that she and husband Mossimo Giannulli played a part in a large scheme where parents paid millions of dollars to fake their students’ SAT scores and create bogus sports scholarships.

he couple allegedly “agreed to pay bribes totaling $500,000 in exchange for having their two daughters (Olivia Jade and Isabella Rose) designated as recruits to the USC (University of Southern California) crew team — despite the fact that they did not participate in crew — thereby facilitating their admission to USC,” according to the indictment.

“They are really great people,” she said. “I’m really so confused about all of this. Everyone is talking about it today, in our world and our circle. Until today, I had never heard this ever existed.”
