La la Anthony Is 'Fired' From The 'What Women Want' Remake

Since 2009, former Total Request Live veejay La La Anthony has been on an acting hot streak, starring in roles in Think Like a Man and on the hit series Power. But now her luck has ran out, as it was announced just today that she has been fired from the eagerly anticipated remake, What Women Want. Click through for the details.
Coincidentally, La La seemed to have a good relationship with Will Packer, who also produced Think Like a Man. But something has apparently gone awry in regards to their newest collaboration.
As reported by Love B Scott, the 38-year-old was fired before she even had a chance to announce that she was in the movie in the first place.
It’s a pretty major blow, especially since What Men Want is expected to be a blockbuster as it’s inspired by the 2000 hit starring Mel Gibson as a sexist executive who gains the ability to hear women’s thoughts. Taraji P. Henson is playing a role similar to Mel’s in the remake.

Fans won’t even have enough time to get upset about La La getting canned either, since the role she was going to play has already been given to Tamela Jones, who’s known for such classics as the 90s comedy, Can’t Hardly Wait.
The firing also came in the midst of La La’s bitter split from husband Carmelo Anthony, who was embroiled in a cheating scandal last year. The couple share son Kiyan, 11.
