When asked what her new film is about, Gaga explained that A Star Is Born tells the story of a hard-drinking country star, Jack, who falls for a young and talented singer, Ally. The pop star plays Ally, alongside Bradley Cooper, who plays Jack, and who also directed the film.

"She’s just incredibly insecure and lacking in self-confidence,” she told Stephen. “It’s meeting Jackson, or Jack as she calls him in the film, it’s his love for her and belief in her that gives her wings to fly.” The film will officially premiere in U.S. theaters on Friday, October 5.
