B.D. Wong has lately been known for playing dark, foreboding characters on shows including Mr. Robot, American Horror Story, and Gotham, but on Sunday the actor was in the happiest of spirits when he tied the knot with partner Richert Schnorr. Read on for the latest!
“It really kinda is the happiest day of your life,” Richert, the director of digital media for the New York Public Library, began a sweet post on Instagram. It was alongside a pic of him kissing his new groom in front of a bouquet of red flowers with the Brooklyn, New York waterline as the backdrop.
He continued with a long list of thanks to various people who helped make his big day happen — including B.D. “Thanks to my family and friends for the love and words and support and dance moves. Thanks to @msanamatronic for the grooves. Thanks to @kealasettle for the pipes. Thanks to @liachangphotography for the ? Thanks to @wongbd for loving me.”
Though his groom hasn’t made an appearance on Law & Order: SVU, in which he played psychologist Dr. Huang, in three years, former co-star Stephanie March, who recently reprised her role as ADA Cabot, came through for the big wedding day.

She even wrote her own special tribute to B.D. on Instagram, uncovering a vintage pic of the two co-stars on a trip to China 12 years ago: “12 years ago BD and I went to China. Yesterday he married Richert. Two very, very good events that I will forever carry in my heart. #RJSBDW #wesawthewallitwasgreat #LoveWins” In a separate post, she gave a shout out to the amazing wedding after party: “Now that was a party. #rjsbdw #youvegotthebestofmylove”
