"As I’m doing Ali girl's makeup she looks at me and says, 'Mom, what’s it like to see with two eyes?'”, Leah tweeted.

"Everyday I wish I could take her place but I know there’s a greater purpose," she wrote in a different tweet. "Just broke my heart."

The mother-of-three revealed that it was the first time Ali asked that question, but "she's starting to ask a lot of questions like this."

As fans have seen on the show, Ali was born with an extremely rare form of muscular dystrophy.
