Back in February, RadarOnline.com revealed exclusive details about Leah's estranged father's drug arrest in 2011.
In court papers obtained from Nassau County Court in Florida, Gary was arrested on February 26, 2011 for possession of a controlled substance. According to the incident report obtained from the City of Fernandina Beach Police Department, the reporting officer “observed the defendant handing an unknown amount of pills to a female subject outside of the Chili’s restaurant.”
The female subject then gave the pills to her boyfriend, who notified authorities. “I detained the defendant and advised him of his Miranda Warnings, to which he stated he did understand,” the report read. “The defendant advised me at first that he has not given anyone at the establishment any type of pills.” The reality star's dad explained how he was prescribed Lortab 10mg for “back pain.”
“The defendant eventually admitted that he did give one pill to the female subject because she stated to him that her back hurt,” the report read. “The defendant was in possession of a pill bottle or prescription at the time of the incident, but stated that the pills were his.” Gary was held on a $2,502 bond. The Assistant State Attorney declined to prosecute Gary for the charges.
Leah also shared a heartbreaking message on Instagram writing, "Just because you have work to do, doesn't mean you're not already whole. Sometimes you just need to patch up the holes that are letting in the wrong things."
