Liam Payne was spotted while on the red carpet at this year’s BBC Radio 1 Teen Awards yesterday, October 21. Though he was all smiles during the awards ceremony, he later took to Twitter to speak out on a topic that left him wholly unamused. Read on for the latest.

The former One Direction member kept it sleek and classic on the red carpet. He opted for all black from head to toe.

Though he didn’t take home any awards, he did hit the stage to perform his latest single “Polaroid.”

Later that night the singer took to Twitter to express his disappointment at being linked to another “mystery woman” in a UK-based tabloid. He explained that the unknown woman he was pictured with was one of his employees.

“My team is full of talented, smart professional women,” he wrote.

He continued, “I find it wrong that they are reduced to being linked to me romantically in the press just for simply standing next to me. Isn’t it time we treat women with a bit more respect?”

“So far the press have done this with every female member of my staff it’s demeaning some are in relationships and it complicates their work environment when they do this to them ... I think it stops here,” he finished.

The media has been speculating over his love life ever since he and baby mama Cheryl split back in July of this year.
