Macaulay Culkin’s role as Kevin McCallister in Home Alone is a Christmas classic. Just in time for the holiday, Google has brought the iconic character back – as an adult! In a new promotional video for their app called Home Alone Again, Macaulay brings his beloved character to life. From cleaning the sheets to fighting off the bad guys, the app seeks to help Kevin accomplish all of his tasks! Keep reading for more.
The video begins with Macaulay opening the bedroom door to the room where he was left behind in Home Alone. “Mom, dad,” he calls out, replaying the scene from the movie when they’ve left to go to the airport without him.
That’s where the app comes into play. Macaulay heads into the kitchen where he asks, “Hey Google what’s on my calendar today?” The Google voice responds, “You have one event called, 'House to yourself.'”
The ad also recreates that epic shaving scene and the jumping on the bed clip after he realizes he’s home alone. “Hey Google, remind me to clean these sheets later,” adult Kevin says. “OK, I’ll remind you,” the app replies before Kevin is down for the count grabbing his back.

When it comes to handling Marv and Harry, Google comes to Kevin’s rescue again. As the clock strikes 9 and the “sticky bandits” pull up to the house, he says “Hey Google, begin operation Kevin.” “Operation Kevin is underway,” the app answers him as the music plays and a Kevin Durant cutout (the movie featured a Michael Jordan one) scrolls past the window on a Roomba (not an electric train set).
Watch the video above of Macaulay, who once confessed to Ellen DeGeneres he goes outside “less and less” during Christmas to avoid fans of the hit movie.
