Maci Bookout has expressed her concerns for her son, Bentley, visiting his dad, Ryan Edwards, shortly after his rehab stay for drug abuse. As seen on this week's episode, she demanded that her first baby daddy takes a drug test prior to seeing their 9-year-old son. RadarOnline.com revealed details about the Teen Mom OG dad's sobriety since leaving rehab.
“He did take a drug test and passed it,” an insider told the site. “He’s taken several and passed them. He’s seven months sober this month.”
The reality star left treatment after 21 days, not completing the 30 days stay but according to the insider, he has been completing an outpatient program.
“Everyone is blown away by how well Ryan has been doing,” the source said. “His family and friends can’t imagine how hard it is for him to fight his addiction every day.”

The insider added how Ryan has been doing well because he “wanted help.” “Mackenzie gave him an ultimatum,” the source said. “She didn’t leave when things got tough. She chose to stand by and support him.”
As seen on last season, Ryan was filmed falling asleep at the wheel on the way to his wedding and slurring his words, which left audiences shocked. Mackenzie accused him of being high on Xanax during the scene, but on this week's episode he revealed heroin was his drug of choice.
Also on this week, Maci explained how Ryan needs to pass a drug screening in order to see Bentley. “Given the events of the last several months, it’s going to be necessary for me to ensure Bentley is not put at risk,” Maci texted him. “I’m going to need you to pass a drug screening, hair and urine, at my expense immediately prior to you taking him for a visit.”
